We possess more than a century of Mouton Rothschild, in other words, more than 100 bottles. The oldest dates from 1856. This ‘vertical collection’ includes some mythical bottles such as the 1945, an excellent year for Bordeaux, and the first to display a label from the series created specifically for each vintage.
Some renowned names have contributed to this series of vintage-specific labels, amongst which: Jean Cocteau, Marie Laurencin, Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and even Prince Charles.
Another wonder, the 2000 bottle in black enamel, with the Château’s symbol – the little ram of Augsburg – engraved thereupon.web
