Collection Henri Jayer, Burgundy

Two Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux, two Richebourg and three Nuits Meurgers, seven bottles in all from master wine producer Henri Jayer, who used to remind all who would listen that “great wine is conceived in the vineyard, not in the cellar”. Henri Jayer was the inventor of wine-making techniques such as cold pre-fermentation maceration, which improves the extraction of the fruit, of the aromas and of the colour, whilst diminishing the harshness of the tannins.
